Creative writing as a thesis was a new project at the University and the author was one of the pioneers in the experiment. The long poem give the reader a panoramic view of Live Oak Peninsula (Rockport, Ingleside, Arkansas Pass and Port Aransas Area, Texas), its physical appearance and varied attractions, its people and their interests and ideals.
